Romero Britto's cheerful art / A arte alegre de Romero Britto

The famous Brazilian painter Romero Britto has created a completely new artistic expression that reflects his optimistic faith in the world. His pulsating colors, pop themes and commanding compositions have led him to become one of the premier artists of his generation. He grew up in a modest lifestyle, however, his innate creativity allowed him to fill his life with vibrant colors and images of a beautiful world. Britto traveled to Europe in 1983 were he exhibited his pieces in a few galleries, but it was in the United States, were pop art was flourishing, that he set up a studio open to the public. Then, in 1989 Absolute Vodka selected Britto to design an artwork with their famous logo. So, his studio in Miami Beach was quickly becoming known as the place for people to meet and acquire a unique style of art. Britto is also an activist for charitable organizations worldwide and donates to many of them a year. As an activist, Britto was a selected speaker of arts at the World Economic Forums in Davos, Switzerland, in 2006 and 2007.

I love happy artists. Art doesn't have to be sad, but can be playful and colorful like Britto's paintings

Hi Marty! I agree with you, there are much color and joy to look at in order to have good vibration and inspiration. Britto has always seen this side of life, even when he was a little and poor child living in a small city of Brazil.
