2010: an extreme beginning, an exhausted Planet! Let's think about it!
The first months of 2010 will be remembered for its sequence of ecological catastrophes. Earthquakes killed thousands of people in Haiti, Chile and China. The eruption of Eyjafjallajokull volcano, in Iceland, brought a huge and grey cloud that caused a loss of millions of euros to the people and air companies. Thunderstorms, floods, extreme cold and hot waves castigated many places around the world. According to the scientists, Mother Nature is furious and its angriness will continue this year, mainly when the hurricane’s periods arrive in Caribbean and Central America. The insurance companies affirm that 2010 is already the year of the biggest loss referring to environment disasters. Specialists advert that the countries must learn how to avoid big human and economic losses in a world overpopulated and exposed to drastic climate changes. The natural phenomenona and the recent human disaster in Gulf of Mexico, where tons of oil are still leaking, must be an alert to all of us: many attitudes, behavior, beliefs and concepts must be changed now, while we still have time!!! The future generations deserve a clean Planet to live in!
2010: um começo extremo, um Planeta exausto! Vamos pensar nisto!

I read once in news that James Cameroon plan to send his genius camera along with the USA scientists to the planet marikh (if i'm not mistaken)meet a sucsess. Its gonna be next year.To answered the question - may or not people live in other than planet earth:)
What great photos! Hard to understand how anyone can fail to appreciate this incredible miracle that is Earth. The life and beauty that surrounds us anywhere-to put greed and ruthless ambition before that.
Hi Fazrul!
You know, I love sci-fi movies in general, especially the James Cameron’s one, Avatar. But I’m talking about real life, at this specific and crucial moment! Nowadays we have only the Planet Earth to live in, so, we must treat her very well, because we depend on her to survive! But I’m thinking about your interesting question: may or may not people live in another planet…and my answer is, definitely not! If we don’t treat properly and with respect our beautiful and generous planet, we won’t be able to do it with another one…
Hi Marty, thanks!
I loved them as well and I have chosen these pictures to try to touch people’ hearts and minds in any way. It’s a drop into the ocean, I know…
I agree with you, I don’t understand so huge and out of measure human ambition! They are so foolish, because they are killing their own living, support and maintenance source!
As I answered above, it’s the only planet that we have! Apart from that, they are completely blind and cannot see the beauty and the miracle that our planet represents. I hope that they don’t wake up too late!
You are right Vania. This is the only planet we have. Really thought provoking pictures.specially 2nd image reminds cancer which is slowly killing our mother earth.
Hi Riyan! Yes, it's the picture that I like the most! It's a strong metaphor of what we've been doing with our lovely Planet Earth. But you know, depend on us to teach children, from the very beginning, how important is for ourselves to treat our planet properly!
I think scientist are wrong. Mother Earth is OK. It always was. But we measure time in a different way than Mother Earth so we believe she is angry.
Hi Robert! Well, I'm not talking about time, only. I'm referring to the many natural and human catastrophes that have been occurring recently. 2010 has started in a very strange way...If Mother Nature is not angry with human beings, because she is a very generous, patient and dedicated mummy, I am!!!
