Will our planet really survive after 2012?

Unfortunately, this time I’m not posting new beautiful, colored and sunny photos of my beloved city, but the cruel reality of our days. Weather is becoming crazy, everybody says…our last summer was hotter than in many places in the middle of Africa’s deserts, with the sensation of temperatures higher than 50⁰ Celsius, like never before!!! We are already in autumn, but till yesterday, the days were hot and humid…but suddenly, the scenery changed dramatically: it rained in one day the total average of one month, what is uncommon for this period of the year!!! From the other side of the globe, an English friend tells me that the flowers that would be already blooming with the spring, haven’t arrived yet, and the cold weather (also colder than never before) still insists in maltreat people! But the weather is not crazy, Mother Nature is only taking revenge on his greater and more dangerous enemy: the man.

Yes my friend, the weather is going crazy, but we have to do something now, while we still have time!

Wow! did all that flooding occur recently? Weather is also crazy here in New York. Eighty degrees fahrenheit yesterday, and 40 today-a forty degree drop. But then, the weather is always very unpredictable here.

Yes Nothingprofound, it has been raining since last Monday, with the worst and most dangerous heavy rain on Tuesday, when many people died...
Yes, the weather has been crazy nowadays. But I insit that the human beings are contributing a lot for it, because they are playing the God's role, thinking about themselves as very smarts and infallibles. They are dealing with Mother Nature in a very wrong way and because of this we are facing many disasters and catastrophres every where...

Hi Jan, welcome here!
Yes, this year has started in a very strange way, as never before...
Yes, we have to do our part, because we are suffering the consequences of polution, deforestation, green house effect, etc that ourselves have created!

Rio de Janeiro seemed to have had more than enough rain in 2010, indeed. The rain photos of the Brazilian capital and its traffic speak for themselves.
No wonder you are glad it is all over now. Isn't it amazing that the whole world has more and more rain? Tenerife had almost floods as well.
By the way, your blog scrolls nicely now despite even more photos.
